Our Story
Tal Genesis can trace its roots to 2016 when the founders started Minterest (now known as SDAX), a financial technology platform connecting companies with investors with the belief that businesses and investment returns can be turbocharged by leveraging on technology. Today, this venture is a digital investment platform and a digital asset exchange.

Charis LIAU Founder & Director
A finance titan and co-founder of Minterest (now SDAX), Charis boasts 20+ years of expertise in shaping deals, building relationships, and guiding companies across Asia. Her journey from finance executive to tech influencer is marked by multiple awards, impact, and a passion for progress.
Charis currently serves on the Alumni Advisory Board of Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University. In 2021, she was recognised amongst Singapore’s 100 Women in Tech by the Singapore Computer Society and Infocomm Media Authority. She was also awarded the Top 12 Fintech Leader and Top 5 Women in Fintech by the Singapore Fintech Association of Singapore in 2020.
Ronnie CHIA Founder & Director
Ronnie's 30+ years crafting deals in banks, managing finances for a conglomerate, and navigating taxes for an accounting firm, make him a seasoned expert. He co-founded Minterest and brewed up the MintGrade algorithm, revolutionizing borrower assessment boosting productivity, efficiency and efficacy.
He also developed a laser focus on understanding of his clients’ financing and investment needs. His balanced risk-reward approach steers his clients towards profitable decisions. His work in international banks has won him multiple deal awards and led multi-award winning global teams. Ronnie is an alumni of University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
LIM Cheng Teck Advisor & Partner
Cheng Teck is a seasoned financial leader with a distinguished career in banking. He currently serves as an independent non-executive director on the boards of RHB Bank Berhad and SDAX Financial. He is also the Chairman of Bright Vision Hospital and serves on the board of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS).
He has over 30 years of international banking experience, culminating in his role as Regional CEO for ASEAN at Standard Chartered Bank. Throughout his tenure, he held various leadership positions across the bank’s Corporate and Institutional Banking dicision, including CEO of Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore), and CEO & Executive Vice Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank (China). Cheng Teck is a strong advocate for the financial industry, having held leadership positions as the Vice Chairman of the Association of Banks Singapore and was a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Financial Centre Development Committee.
Cheng Teck holds a Master of Business Administration from Brunel University, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore.
KUAN Keng Seng Partner, South East Asia
Kuan has over 30 years’ experience in fintech and commercial banking, both in front line business and credit risk management. Prior to heading up as Head of Risk in a leading fintech, he was Head of Credit Risk, Commercial Banking in various established local and international banks. In these roles, he was instrumental in setting up their credit risk department and in re-engineering credit risk management processes and architecture for the SME and local corporates segments. Kuan is an alumni of the National University of Singapore.
Linda MA Partner, China
As a seasoned banker and venture capitalist, Linda has made significant contributions to the finance and investment landscape. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Venture Smart Asia (HK) and investing in a Singaporean fintech company SDAX Financial, Linda brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. With a distinguished career that includes senior executive positions at international banks such as UBP, Citigroup, Standard Chartered, BNP Paribas, Societe Generale, and Bank of Singapore, Linda has held key roles ranging from Senior Banker to Regional Head. Proficient in both domestic and internal financial services in China, Linda possesses in-depth knowledge of Chinese corporate mergers and acquisitions, as well as the financing needs of entrepreneurs both domestically and abroad.
Linda has a Master of Finance from Macquarie University and was a visiting scholar at Columbia University.
